Spring 2026 NYSSMA Solo Festival
A level 1 through 6 festival will be held at Central Valley Academy on May 8th and 9th, 2026
Parents should park in the parking lot outside the high school cafeteria (111 Frederick St.).
Students may enter the building at the high school cafeteria entrance and then proceed to check in.
The warm up area will be in the old gym.
NO score sheets will be given out at the festival, they will be mailed to your teacher after the festival!
The informational NYSSMA letter that went out to teachers on January 31st can be found below.
All students must be registered by Friday, March __27th, 2026___online using DaCap0. All solo information must be entered by Friday,___March 27th___. *If you need to complete an All State Applications, be sure to follow the directions on the letter below as NYSSMA has moved to a new All-State application platform.
All payments for solos must be received PRIOR to the festival and must be paid for using one check or purchase order for the district. Your check must be made payable to NYSSMA.
Reminder: CURRENT online NYSSMA MANUAL IS IN EFFECT! Be sure to use the NYSSMA EDITION 34 (July 2024) for your music selections. Read the Manual carefully. Contact Andy Kittleson at NYSSMA if you have online manual issues. Contact our NYSSMA Zone 4 Rep for any questions about music selections BEFORE your register or if you have an ACCOMODATIONS form to turn in (6 weeks prior to the festival). The form can be found below or on the NYSSMA website. Email them at zone4@nyssma.org to turn in a form.
